Clients and colleagues describe me as
compassionate, attentive, and thoughtful.

I am a Harvard-trained, Adult Psychiatrist who welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

โ€‹

My patients face a range of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, stress, and trauma. I aim to help my patients navigate these complexities to ultimately feel more connected and find greater fulfillment in daily life.

โ€‹

My approach to psychiatric care begins with deep listening and a nonjudgmental curiosity about the nature of your suffering and what you hope to change in your life. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship, providing a space to address difficult feelings such as guilt, shame, hopelessness, and grief. Psychotherapy is regularly incorporated into treatment. When prescribing psychiatric medications, I take a tailored and collaborative approach, aiming to minimize side effects while maximizing efficacy for each individual patient.

โ€‹

I completed my training in adult psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School, where I served as Chief Resident of Psychotherapy. โ€‹ After completing my residency, I recently relocated to Washington, DC.

In addition to working at Capital Family Psychiatry, I will be serving as the Medical Director of Georgetown/MedStar's partial psychiatric hospitalization program at Washington Hospital Center. In that role, I will provide clinical supervision and teaching to Georgetown medical students and residents.

โ€‹Outside of work, I enjoy music, crafts, and spending time in nature.

โ€‹

I am currently accepting patients who reside in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, both in-person and virtually. I can see patients who reside in Massachusetts virtually only.
